Summer skin product favourites! (Oily skin)

Hey Guys!!!

Sorry we’ve been M.I.A for a little while…

Hope you are all good and enjoying the hot weather! πŸ™‚

Here is my recent summer favourites…..

NΒ°7 Shimmering lip/eye SPF stick

image

image

This NΒ°7 eye and lip shimmer stick is so creamy and long lasting! It also contains an SPF/UVB 30 (most  lightweight SPF lip products contain just a 15) and gives the lips and/or eyelids a flattering sweep of delicate shimmery bronze.

Clinique – Super city block (oil-free)

image

image

image

The Clinique city block is an excellent all rounder SPF40 face primer for full sun protection. It comes out like a beigy cream but when blended into the face/neck goes clear which then leaves your skin a none greasy summer glowy canvas πŸ™‚

Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser in ‘Light’

image

Like most Liz Earle products this moisturiser in ‘Light’ has been a god send for my oil to combination skin! As I am prone to spots I needed an everyday face moisturiser that was light enough to not disrupt my skin (Spots!) Yet rich enough to hydrate my skin with all the botanical and goodness that Liz Earle packs into it’s skin products such as Borage, Avacado and Echinacea . Leaves my skin velvety, matte and soft πŸ™‚

Β£20.25 (50ml)

Liz Earle sheer tint primer

image

image

The Liz Earle sheer skin tint (I use shade ‘Bare 01’) is a wonderful tinted under makeup primer which gives a light-sheer coverage while controlling excess facial oil. The formula has a light protection of SPF 15, I often wear this alone or if you are conscious of looking greasy then wear a dusting of face powder on top for a more matte look..:)

Current beauty favourites!

Hi guys!

How are we all?

So as it’s a wee bit late to do an ‘April beauty favourites’ and too early for a ‘May beauty favourites’ I thought I would give u a run down of my current favourites! πŸ™‚

image

image

Tony Moly – Banana hand cream

image

image

I am in love with this gorgeously cute Korean banana hand cream! Smells like those foamy banana sweets I had as a kid and is very moisturing and non sticky! I got this in a recent Korea/UK beauty swap (check out my blog post).
If you’re from the UK they sell these on Amazon πŸ™‚

EOS lip balm (Strawberry)

image

Another recent beauty swap (check out my UK/USA beauty swap post) where I was lucky enough to get one of these πŸ˜€ Hard to find (and expensive) in the UK but I love the formula of these…nearly all natural and are cruelty free! Keeps my lips chap free all year long! πŸ™‚
In the UK they can be bought at Topshop, Selfridge’s and at http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk

Batiste dry shampoo (Cherry)

image

For someone like me who has very thick hair that gets greasy quick this dry shampoo is a life saver! No other dry shampoo works (and smells) as good as Batiste!
They sell these everywhere! πŸ™‚

Too Faced shadow insurance (eye primer)

image

This is a sample size but boy does this last a long time! If you wear eye shadow especially vibrant colours I really recommend this one by too faced, it really makes your shadows look great and last for ages.
Buy from Debenhams, boots or at http://www.toofaced.com

Liz Earle – brow pencil (dark)

image

My favourite brow pencil is this one by Liz Earle…makes my brows look great and is full of lovely ingredients like avocado oil…love!
Β£11 from http://www.lizearle.com

Beauty blender

image

My sister got me this from home bargains for about a Β£1!….this works amazingly at blending in foundation and concealer… Such a bargain considering most beauty blenders I’ve seen are between Β£10-15! πŸ™‚

Clarins ‘blue’ perfume

image

My mum loves this perfume and Ive always loved how it smelt on her so she gave me a bottle that had about a quater left (she had another full bottle ready).
I really love the smell of this, really clean & fresh smelling not at all sweet or fruity (isn’t it always hard to describe perfume?) It’s the type of scent that suits anyone and is even quite unisex in my opinion πŸ™‚
Can be bought at Debenhams and Boots for Β£32 (100ml).

Thanks for reading guys!

Makeup Revolution – ‘Day of the dead’ palette review!

Hi gang!

So a few weeks ago I bought the ‘Day of the dead’ eye shadow palette from Makeup revolution and I’ve just got round to having a dabble with it…..

image

image

As you can see the packaging got my attention first and I generally love anything ‘Day of the dead’ related (wish we had that holiday here in the uk πŸ˜‰ ) ….so, the palette has 18 shades (all exclusive to the palette, 12 shimmer and 6 matte colours all with a great choice of neutrals, vibrants and smokies….

image

image

image

Ok so the palette cost Β£6 so don’t expect a MAC palette but when worn with an eyelid primer their pretty good! Yes theirs some fallout as they are quite powdery but all in all a nice little palette πŸ™‚

image

My favourite of the shades is ‘Go and get the world’ very similar to a few I wear from the Urban Decay Naked3 palette….

Hard Candy baked blush in ‘living doll’ – Review

Hi Gang!

Hope everyone is well πŸ™‚

Today I bring you the Hard Candy baked blusher in the shade ‘living doll’….

image

image

image

I was lucky enough to receive this in a recent beauty swap (check out my UK/USA swap post)

I’ve not seen any Hard Candy products on the UK high street since I was a kid in the 90’s (just nail polish) so I was really pleased to get this! I’m sure they sell them online (for a ridiculous amount) anyway….I’ve read and watched bloggers & vloggers for years talk about how they love the Hard Candy blushers, kinda like a cult product now πŸ™‚

Not sure about you ladies but I’ve always found that baked blushers make my skin look so lovely and ‘finished’….

Not wearing anything on my skin except the blusher…..

image

First of all the colour isn’t my usual coral shade that I would normally wear but I was surprised at how delicate and flattering this shade is on me πŸ™‚

image

‘Living doll’ is a beautiful illuminating ‘pink pop’ colour with baked-in marbled shades of primrose gold, when swirled together it really gives my cheeks a subtle dewy pop of colour & iridescence πŸ™‚

What’s your favourite Hard Candy product?

Funky false nails!

Hey guys!

I bought some false nails a few months ago from B&M stores (like a giant bargain store in the UK) and I wanted to play around and try them for size…..

image

image

image

image

Not my everyday kind of thing but I thought they would be fun to try especially as they were only Β£1.99!
Just a fun post! πŸ˜‰

Haven’t posted in a few days but I have a Wet n Wild review coming up πŸ™‚

MUA Β£1 nail polishes -Review

Hi Dolls!

Today I’m reviewing 3 MUA nail polishes I got in my recent superdrug haul πŸ™‚

The polishes are just a Β£1 each and come in a big selection of different colours, however they are quite small but the colours are all so gorgeous so I thought I would try some out! πŸ˜‰

image

image

image

So….I bought 3 pastel shades ‘Truffle Cream’ which is a soft brown, ‘Pistachio Ice cream’ which is a soft mint shade and ‘Ameretto Crush’ which is a lovely muted rose colour…

I wore the ‘Ameretto crush’ for around 3 days and in that time I repainted a few times  (even with a top coat)  it took 2 coats to properly cover my nails however the colour is surprisingly pigmented πŸ™‚

The packaging reminds me alot of ‘Essie’ nail polishes!

Although I found the formula to chip alot I think for just Β£1 each with such a wide range of colours I would probably buy more of these because alot of the time I prefer wearing nail polish for a day at a time instead of several days wear…

Thanks for reading and have a great week! πŸ™‚

UK/Korean Blog beauty swap! (Thanks AJ!)

Hi Dolls!

Yesterday I received my second ‘beauty swap’ package (check out my other post for my haul from the USA) from fellow beauty blogger ( https://cuteprettybeauty.wordpress.com/ ) the lovely AJ (check out her blog she often reviews really cool & interesting beauty items!) who sent me a whole bunch of gorgeous cute Korean beauty products (and candy!) :-)…
I admit I was not expecting such an Amazing box crammed full of these amazing things (I was nearly hyperventilating! Haha) as I’ve always had a fascination with anything beauty from places like Korea & Japan…..these things just aren’t sold in the west :-/

I didn’t really have a preference about what I wanted AJ to get me infact neither did AJ so we got each other a random mix πŸ˜€
I had seen on her blog she often talked about ‘Etude house’ and ‘Tonymoly’ and I noticed quite alot are from either of those places πŸ™‚

Thanks again AJ!!!  (My sister Louise says ‘Thankyou!’ Aswell) πŸ™‚

image

image

The packaging! Gorgeous! The banana hand cream smells like those candy bananas I had as a kid! I don’t want to open any of it, just look at it! πŸ˜€

I can’t wait to review all of this!

p.s..unrelated to this post but wanted you all to know that while me & Louise appreciate being nominated in tag posts it’s not something we want to do on here, hope you all understand xx

Liz Earle Mini Haul &Freebies

Hi Guys

Hope you’re all well πŸ˜€

My review today is a selection of products from the very fabulous Liz Earle! You should all have guessed by now how much we love this brand, so I’ll get started ☺️

First up are two blushers in powder form

image image image

The one is the Healthy Glow Powder Blush in Nude. Β£16.50 for 6g, this is bigger than the cream blushers (which I absolutely love!) The sleek compact is mirrored and is very well made and strong. Nothing flimsy about the LE packaging. The website states ‘subtle rosy apricot. Brings a warm delicate flush’ and while it is a beautiful shade, I found it a touch too much for my pale skin so my sister now uses this colour and it looks amazing on her skin.

So I got my beloved Camellia in the powder (have only previously had the cream blush which I adore and use it lips, cheeks, eyelids…)

image image image

This shade is my all time favourite blusher colour ever! It even beats my Clinique Iced Lotus! I also love the fact that ingredients include that beautiful natural source vitamin E.

I would highly recommend the shade Camillia to anyone with a pale complexion. It just lights the whole face up 😊

image image

This Lash Care Intensifying Mascara Base was included as a free gift in my last order. A lovely letter came with it saying that it was included as I am a valued customer and how LE would love to hear back from me…some feedback. So I will do it here then everyone can read my thoughts on this base, but first I just wanted to say a big thank you for this😊 LE are so very thoughtful and appreciative towards their loyal customers. It makes us feel special ❀️

Right, back to the base. ‘Enriched with a specially selected blend of botanicals to help condition lashes’ it certainly does do what it says it does! I love this! I do use a mascara base every single day so this wasn’t wasted on me and I put it to use straight away. It lengthened my lashes just like my regular base does, but this one seemed to make them look more glossier after the mascara was applied. Must be that natural vitamin E again! Also has Jojoba Seed oil and is Β£10.50 for 8ml. I’ll definitely be purchasing this base regularly from now on.

image image image image

This Nourishing Hair Oil is for all hair types and is Β£17.25 for a 50ml pump.

I didn’t buy this though because this was a Facebook competition win! You had to comment on the Facebook post on what you look for in good haircare, I did not really thinking I would be one of the 20 winners, and I was! ☺️

So thank you very much LE! A lovely way to try the newly reformulated Hair oil. So here’s my review on it…..

I actually prefer the new ingredient. The Yangu oil was replaced with the seed oil from the Kalahari Melon and I feel that although it smells the same, it seems lighter and sharper in smell. I used the older Yangu version and did notice sometimes my hair could be slightly static after use, not now though! I slide it through wet ends…really work it in then blow dry. It makes my hair so soft and manageable and it really does reduce blow drying time. For me about half the time. The smell too!!!! That irresistible smell! 😊

The ingredients are heavenly…a dream for dry, damaged or colour treated hair. Coconut oil, Abyssinian seed oil, radish seed oil, natural vitamin E and the new Kalahari melon seed oil. What more could you ask for in a hair oil?! The new colour packaging is better too

Thanks for reading guys, we really do appreciate it xx
